Staff are highly trained and experienced in supporting people with varying needs and levels of disabilities.

Short Term Accommodation and Assistance (STAA)

Under the NDIS "Respite" has become known as Short Term Accommodation and Assistance (STAA) STAA is funded under Core Supports in a person's plan.

This service is available to both local clients, and clients outside the Hinchinbrook Shire (Queensland wide).

Supported Independent Living

Supported Independent Living also known as SIL is help with and/or supervision of day to day living skills.

In some cases, this may include personal hygiene in the person's home, enabling them to live as independently as possible.

Assistance provided to a participant will be included as part of their plan depending on the level of support, they require to live independently in the housing option of their choice.

SIL arrangements can be shared or individual.

Support Coordination

IDSS are registered to provide Support Coordination under the NDIS.  If you have Support Coordination as part of you NDIS Plan we can provide you support in this area.

How can we help

  • Help you understand and implement your NDIS plan
  • Link you to other services within the community or visiting services
  • Support you to build your skills and connect with other supports
  • Assist you to negotiate with other providers regarding costs and supports
  • Ensure that Services Agreements and Services Bookings with providers are completed
  • Build your ability to exercise choice and control to coordinate your services
  • Help you prepare for your plan review

Plan Management

IDSS are registered Plan Managers under the NDIS.  If you have Plan Management as part of your NDIS Plan we can provide you support in this area.

What do we do as Plan Managers?

  • Pay your providers for the supports you purchase
  • Help you keep track of your funds
  • Take care of financial reporting for you
