Short Term Accommodation & Assistance (STAA)

Under the NDIS "Respite" has become known as Short Term Accommodation and Assistance (STAA) STAA is funded under Core Supports in a person's plan

Length of Stay this is dependent on the person's circumstances, capacity at the Respite house and also the funding available in the person's plan. Typically, this type of support would be used for short periods of up to 14 days at a time. For longer term arrangements, other options are likely to be more appropriate (e.g. Supported Independent Living).

Cost

Short term accommodation' includes all expenses in a 24 hour period including assistance with daily personal activities, accommodation, food & negotiated activities.

In most circumstances we are able to provide STAA at below the costs in the NDIA Price Guide

Costs of stay may vary for many reasons. Eg number of other service users booked in at the same time, level of support required.

If you do not have NDIS and would like to stay at our Respite house, this is still possible at a full fee cost.

Ingham Disability Support Services aims to keep their STAA costs under those in the NDIA Price Guide. Below is a list of our prices for STAA Stays.
